Tattoo Artist Recommendation - Limerick City

    Looking to get several custom pieces over the next couple of years but I'm relatively new to Ireland (moved here just over a year ago from UK) and would be interested in getting some recommendations.

    I am based in Limerick but for the sake of a good job would obviously be willing to travel to where ever necessary.

    Are there any renowned artists based in Ireland that specialise in black and grey, portraits or Japanese art?

    Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Karen russell in midleton co. cork is pretty good at japanese/colour work

    black and grey my vote goes for the italians in art tattoo in templebar, dublin

    portaits - JMD bodyart in waterford, pawel in snakebite dublin

    lads in the colour works in dublin too are pretty good

    I'd also suggest JMD's for japanese work as sweenox's tatt's are quite jamazing

    If you're looking to stay in Limerick, give a visit into Danny Bullmans studio on Thomas St. Or else there is a new(ish) one just up the street from their called AllStar Ink.

    I find Danny Bullman very hit and miss but he does turn out some excellent work. Justin Russell is in Limerick at times too and I'd recommend him over Danny. If your willing to travel,

    Traditional stuff- Tommy in Classic Ink and Karen Russell
    Japanese- Karen Russell and Joe Myler (JMDS_
    Black & Grey (as in black & grey realism and portraits)- Jani (Zulu), Justin, Joe Myler and Martin and Darius in Connected are good at it too.
    Heavy Black/Tribal- Italians in Sacred Art would do a great job.

    I'd recommend Darren in Colourworks if you want a colour/japanese style tattoo. He just finished a full sleeve for my, entirely his own work, if you wanna see a pic just pm me and I'll send you the link
