I was just checking the news there and saw this http://www.rte.ie/news/2009/0114/rta.html I take this road every morning, around this time. Thankfully I was not around to see what happened. This is a very dangerous bridge for motorists and cyclists. Say a prayer for this young mans family. RIP.

This is indeed a terrible junction, one that really needs to be looked at from a design point of view. The traffic light sequences also need to be reviewed.

I felt it was appropriate to post here as a reminder to motorists here to be extra vigilent keeping an eye out for cyclists , motorcyclists and other vulnerable road users. Tragic.
