Anybody in South Dublin interested in playing some Open events over the summer months?. Below link has em all.

    http://gui.ie/open_fixtures.asp

I'd like to get minimum 1 in a month. Most of golfing pals don't have GUI handicaps and so cannot play in these, looking for maybe someone in same boat?.

I'd go as far south as Arklow, and about the same distance south west/west of Dublin. Maybe as far as Balbriggan north.

Btw I am not a 'serious' golfer, play off 17, but am more interested in getting out and enjoying it.

    Hi Leslie,

I'd be interested as most of my friends don't play golf at all.

I might be too high a handicapper for you though, I'm playing off 36? I'm hoping to get my handicap down over the summer so I'd like to play as much as I can.

    Mags

Thinking of playing Open Singles in Lucan on Monday (provided I can get a tee-time) - how's the course looking at the minute? This grand drop of rain should do the courses plenty of good.

Hi, I live in Galway but would be happy to go to Gort for a reasonably regular weekend game, I've got no real handicap as I've never played a competition but I'd say I'm about 28. I can't play this weekend as I have visitors but the following weekend, say Sat 28th would be good for me.

    Hi All,

Running a Golf Classic on Monday 30th May.

Its in Newlands Golf Club: http://www.newlandsgolfclub.com/

The cost is €300 for a team of 4 which will include your round of golf, meal afterwards, prizes, etc...

We are also looking for hole sponsors, its €150 for a hole if you know anyone who might be interested in doing so.

Tee box is from 1.30-4.30, but other times can probably be organised if needs be.

We are struggling a bit for numbers at the moment, so looking to rally some numbers in the next week or two.

If you are interested, or want some further information just send me a PM and I can fill you in on the details/contact information.

Thanks and hope to hear from some of you soon.

    Hi Guys,
Anyone fancy a round around Athlone on 23rd? Or even suggest a course to play around there ? Looking at Mount Temple ? Any opinions ? Cheers.

Freemount09 just my opinion, Moate is far better course than Mountemple and costs in around the same price. Moate is more mature and a better challenge i think.

what time are you thinking of going out at? I'm a member in moate and might head out for a round after 4pm.

Thursday is open day there though so if you are thinking of playing in the afternoon you'll need to ring for a spot.

Hi Charlie, Sorry only saw your post there now. I'm hoping to head out earlier than that (bout 10ish) as will have to meet up with the Mrs about 4ish.

Sorry but thanks anyway for the offer.
