I've often wondered this but if somebody was born deaf, and has never heard a sound or the english language then how can they hear thoughts in their head?

I suppose the same could be said for people who are blind.

I'm very interested to find out.

Any ideads are welcome, or better if somebody who is deaf could clarify this for me!

    thanks a million
    SmS

    :)

I always wondered this too kinda.
My question was always since we think in english, what does someone both deaf & dumb think in.....

Yeah I have 2 questions to add to the confusion:

    a) do blind people dream?
    b) If you threw a flashbang into a room full of blind & deaf people, would it have any effect??

I would assume blind people wouldnt have a problem hearing thoughts in their head... what with being able to speak and all

    A) of course.
    B) They feel the sudden change of air pressure alone exploding outwards from the device.

But if youve been deaf since birth and youve never heard a voice do you have an internal one:confused:

Of course and I would imagine so .Being deaf doesnt mean your other sensory perceptions, like thoughts are affected .Just like singing along to a tune in your head like '' I can hear music ,sweet sweet music '' . :pac:

Its easy to speak spanish  Just put "el" before you say something, and add random o's onto the end of words e.g

Deaf people can read and write so while they probably don't think in the same sounds as a person with hearing I'm sure they think with the same words.
