I hope they do the honourable thing and allow Newsted the offer to join them as they accept this award, and perhaps Cliff's parents, or a representative from his side of the family. Dave Mustaine would be nice, but Megadeth will have their induction in 2011, if it comes to it.

Mostly Rubbish, Some glaring omissions and some bizzare members.
No Rush, but they did induct Blondie and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.:rolleyes:

Apparently, the editor ( / owner?) of Rolling Stone magazine hates Rush and has been quoted as saying that they will never be inducted as long as he had a say. He aparently has a big say in who gets in.
He seems to have softened his stance slightly last year when the magazine actually did a feature on the band.

Yep - no Rush, and Yes or King Crimson, who marked their 40th anniversary on the 13th, are not in the running. Hall of Fame? More like Hall of Fashion.
