Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't think I've ever had non-alcoholic beer. Does it taste any different to the regular one?

  • Moderators, Regional East Moderators Posts: 23,226 Mod ✭✭✭✭GLaDOS

I tried a non-alcoholic becks years ago and thought it was pretty bad

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

It tastes a little more bitter than the normal stuff. And obviously no nice warm glow or buzz from it either.

I tried non alcoholic wine once, that was undrinkable. Horrible stuff!

I don't even like alcoholic wine, I dread to think of the non-alcoholic one.

Non alcoholic beer tastes pretty bad. Those 2% radler type beers are quite nice though

Anathema were simply stunning last night.
Gig of the year for me so far.

It was my fourth time seeing them but they just improve each time I see them.
Had a nice in-awe drunken chat with Vinny after the gig also.

    Ugh, jealous. :P

Tried to get to Carcass but was indecisive about buying a ticket because of final year, wish I had just gone for it as opposed to scurrying around Facebook, Toutless and Metal Ireland looking for a spare ticket. Ah well, glad to hear you enjoyed it. :)

Also, any Aphex Twin fans about? Loving Syro, RDJ rarely disappoints!

I've had a very quiet weekend. I was in hell yesterday with a migraine that lasted for 10 hours and today I just spent some time at my mums :). Watching Marley and Me now and I feel the tears already! :(

    Oktoberfest
    Rock of Ages
    DragonForce

I say I'll be tired in the afternoon :pac:

    Everyone have a good weekend?

Marley and Me </3 I watched The Fault in our Stars - how I wasn't just weeping throughout is baffling!

Jesus, it's too freakin' hot today!

I'm seriously exhausted with it, it's not even funny

Didn't really care for that film if I'm honest.
Saw it in the cinema a while back.

The thing that annoyed me most is letting a
terminally ill teenager run around Amsterdam on her own, what the hell??

What type of lab are you in, ScienceNerd?

I've not played with all that in such a long time - back in my Food Science days :)

I'd be lost now if I was placed in that world :o:o

Ah so you can tell me if those mushrooms I've foraged are safe to eat or not? :D
