Was anyone on here at Suffocation last night?

I thought it was a great gig. They played a good bit of old stuff including Pierced from Within!! That was great to hear.
Got my ticket signed by them all afterwards and they seem like cool guys, so great night overall.

Thought Coldwar sounded great as well.

I've a bit of a embarrassing question,so humble apologies to all....there's a gig happening shortly in dublin that I really want to go to,but long long story short no one is available to go with me.I've never been in this situation and am a little paranoid how I'm going to look-sitting in a bar before hand on my ownsome especially cos I'm a girl(v sexist I know:() strolling down to the concert on my own etc etc.Part of me is going **** that I really want to go and the why should I miss out just cos none of my friends can make it,but another part is thinking.....you sad loser/Betty no mates!!.....Finally getting to the point-am I being an A*SE????

Ah don't worry about it, just go and enjoy yourself! Once it starts you won't give a crap and noone will notice. At worst it's a little embarrassing and at best you have a great night!

    go for it!

Lots of people go to gigs on their own!

Its not the same as going to the pub on your own (which I do also), everyone is at the gig to see the band, not to pass remarks!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,065 ✭✭✭✭Malice

Definitely go for it. I've often gone to check out bands by myself. If I'm at a gig to listen to music then it really doesn't matter if I'm there by myself.

Yeah do it. its freeing and a sense of accomplishment that you're not reliant on people to have fun, feel comfortable/normal at a show.

Did anyone else hear about Nergal from Behemoth developing Leukaemia?

Went into hospital in August. Apparently he's waiting on a bone marrow transplant now. He's got it pretty badly.
