Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I had a curry (for the first time in years my father was actually willing to share his Indian curry,) and a glass of wine then fell asleep. So I saw the first girl on it then passed out listening to Patti Smith on the radio.

I can't stand Ryan Tubridy. I couldn't watch him for any extended period of time without needing to punch something.

Apocalyptica were fantastic last night :)

Did you catch Vamps as well? How were they?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,928 ✭✭✭✭rainbow kirby

Few good tracks, a few that weren't really doing it for me. They came back on stage to play with Apocalyptica for one song too, which was very good.

    It's no milk steak!

Anyone head to Om on Saturday night?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,944 ✭✭✭✭Links234

Yeah, it'll always be rum ham, but in all seriousness, get some ham, soak it in dark rum and bung it in the oven and you've got the tastiest damn ham ever. I do it every christmas.
    It's no milk steak!

Damn right. Seemed that they only really played for just over an hour though, would have been nice if they played for a bit longer.

  • Moderators, Regional East Moderators Posts: 23,227 Mod ✭✭✭✭GLaDOS

Yeah really the only negative I took from it, about an hour and 15 I reckon they played for (started slightly early).

Glad I brought earplugs, that bass was insane.

I wasn't there, but I heard mixed things about them. Apparently they started really sloppy but only got going about halfway through, but then left the stage with hardly any word and the lights went on. Any thoughts on that?

Can't say I noticed them being sloppy, enjoyed it from start to finish. Didn't think much of them just walking off. Lot of bands have almost no crowd interaction. I've seen Russian Circles three times and have yet to hear them say a word! Om seemed like they were in the same mould.

Mastodon were the same the time I saw them.

I really enjoyed Om on Saturday. They definitely don't have much in the way of crowd interaction, a few words all gig.

Thought they performed well though. I did think the gig was a bit on the short side. Wouldn't have minded another song or two

Likewise. Really enjoyed the gig. Wasn't expecting any crowd interaction at all to be honest given the nature of the music. In hindsight it seemed a short set alright but still thoroughly enjoyed it. Ticket bought for sleep in London in July :)
