SO! I'm gutted, I didn't win the shoes, and they went for only £12.50! :eek:

in other news, had an awesome lunch with a friend today,
and last night I was drawing out where all the notes are on the guitar, so I've a nice fretboard with all the notes marked. supposedly writing it out yourself helps you remember it better, so I think I'm going to try writing it out more and hopefully some stuff will stick more really enjoying myself getting back into guitar.

also, i plan to win the lotto tonight

I did, but it seems like the other person bidding had set up automatic bidding so whatever I put in, I was automatically outbid

you are best off i think to put in the max price you are willing to pay and let ebay autobid you up to that.
Less hassle, if you get it you get it and if not it was because it went for more than you thought it worth anyway

I never bother bidding on items. I just buy what I want on Buy It Now. It's always cheaper then retailers anyway.

links that is insanely expensive, you could get two totally hand made custom instruments from any luthier with almost any spec for that!

A good guitar is a much better investment

along with a cheap car to transport it around in......

there was never a buy it now price on the shoes in the first place... the fact they went for so little is a kick in the bum, 'cos I could actually afford them. really wanted a new pair of shoes for ages

that's the RRP or something, the actual shop price is a lot less.. not that I'd buy it anyway 'cos it's still a lot of money

I did history for the Leaving cert, and I got really into the Cold War era stuff, as well as studying the course of Russian politics from the rise of Lenin onwards.

My teacher was a socialist too, so he didn't exactly discourage me. :P
