Was that at the con, Links? Or do you have a regular gig?

Passenger, did you hang round for Aggro-Culture?

My neck and shoulders are fuuuuucked now hahaha. Can't remember the last time I did so much head banging hahaha.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,944 ✭✭✭✭Links234

    That was at the con

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,029 ✭✭✭salacious crumb

And will you be trying to get a regular gig now? :pac:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,944 ✭✭✭✭Links234

no idea! what do you mean by regular though?

Though I have been asked to play other cons.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,029 ✭✭✭salacious crumb

I mean a regular Japanese metal night in some local boozer :pac:

Ah no, I seriously doubt that! It'd be way too niche for your average boozer. awesome for convetions though, but I might see about other events in future ;)

Girugamesh are touring Europe this summer, I'd nearly be half tempted to go see them in London :D

Is it just "metal" metal Japanese bands you dig, or are you a Church of Misery or Boris fan?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,944 ✭✭✭✭Links234

Nope, I like a lot of different stuff! I had some Boris to play the other night too, but didn't get around to it. Haven't really listened to Church of misery tho

Check 'em out, psychadelic doomy type stuff, but not lethargically slow doom :pac:

    They are absolutely savage live.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,944 ✭✭✭✭Links234

    I'll check 'em out ;)

I'm wondering, now that I've done an all Japanese setlist, should I find an event to do an all German set next? :D

    What do you think?

I only caught the last two BBOD tunes, cos we were jamming ourselves. Kerouac were great though, first time seeing them. Did you head for Brux?

My singer turned up around 2.30 so we went to her mate's gaf for a couple of hours, then I (after spending my last tenner on fags) discovered at 7am, that busses and trains don't start til nearly 10 on Sundays, so I had a nice 10km walk home. Thankfully I had my mp3 :pac:

Daniel Gildenlow, of Pain of Salvation, has been in hospital due to contracting a flesh eating bacterial (streptococcal) Just saw it on their facebook there. He's had surgery and seems to be ok. Hopefully he makes a full recovery!

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Bah. One of my mates asked me ages ago to go to London in a couple of weeks to see Monster Magnet, but I couldn't afford it at the time, and now I find out that Church of Misery are supporting them

    Bad times.

Oh wow, Monster Magnet! that brings me back.

saw them supporting Metallica as a wee one :p

Me too. Seen 'em five or six times. Last time I saw them was headlining the Friday doom/stoner tent at Hellfest '11 and it was in the top three sets of the whole festival (IMO), and considering there was at least fifteen of my favourite bands playing, that's saying something :pac:
