Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think that the security systems here are very strong and it takes a bit of study on how to upload. I stopped linking to my photos for quite some time, as the process was too time consuming, but finally I worked out a quick system yesterday.

You can upload directly from your own computer, which is probably the best option. When there is a photo on another site, just add the exact link (the "properties" of the photo) into the box that opens when you hit the button that looks like a postcard on the upload facility here.
That will give the actual image.

If you want just an outside link, use the button that looks like the World with a piece of chain on the bottom.

True geeks could explain this more clearly.
It has taken over six months for me to work this out.

In photobucket, the easiest way to do this is to pull up the picture you want to link to, and on the right hand side you'll see a section marked "Image link code". Just click on the bottom one, entitled "Forums and Bulletin boards" the one with the and tags, and this link will be automatically copied to your clipboard. Then in your message you're composing here, just paste the link in, either by hitting control-V, or right click and choose Paste. Simple.

If you want to do it "by hand" you can just surround any URL pointing to an image on any website with andtags and it'll work. If you're editing your message in advanced mode, you can achieve the same by clicking on the Insert Image button (the one with the mountains and sun on it) and paste the URL into the dialogue box that appears.

From the FAQ, link to a quick tutorial on how to post images in line.

I've never used photobucket so I cant comment directly, but the important thing to remember is that you need a web address ending in .jpg inside image tags *

replacing * with http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3527/3194342438_704e09bae7.jpg will give you

    3194342438_704e09bae7.jpg

Hit the quote button to see properly
