Choosing a new TFT Monitor

After finally getting a new machine I've decided also to upgrade my monitor. I reckon something 22" - 24" would be perfect for my needs and they seem to be cheap enough if bought online.

So can anyone advise as to the difference between the two, will the extra 2" really make a difference? Also I've always liked the look of LG so I'd be veering towards them or maybe a Samsung, budget allowing. Anyone has any experience with them?

In terms of my GPA it's a 8800gtx 768mb which I figure would be sufficient to power a monitor that large, will it be?

Errr.... which two? You mean which of the two sizes?
24" as I understand generally "feels" like a more natural resolution but if you're gaming on a budget it's panel quality that makes the difference.

Best option is to find some screens in your budget and start searching for reviews. Or just check on the latests Dell offers because they generally do the best multi-use panels you can get.

24" will generally have a 1920 x 1200 screen resolution while 22 inchers have 1680 x 1050 - although there's a few around now with a 1920 x 1080.

Prices are pretty good at the moment.

Cheers lads, will do a bit of digging around. Dabs.ie have some nice looking LG's but no 24". Any other sites I should be looking at?

I recently bought three of these and I am very happy with them, no complaints whatsoever...

I ordered off of pixmania, I've heard a lot of horror stories with them but my experience was non-eventful.

I suppose it's down to aesthetics, the 24" does look much nicer.

Should I be bothered about choosing 2ms over 5ms if I'm using the machine for gaming? If the improvement is only mild I won't be bothered but wouldn't want the screen hopping about the place if that's what might happen.

I've had a 22" widescreen Belinea artistline for over a year now & its grand for everything. Its a TN panel which is grand for gaming (CSS, L4D, GTA4 etc) but it can be dark for movies.
