    Howdy,

As stated I'm looking for a 2004 Mondeo dash with airbags intact and a working airbag computer, anybody any ideas who/where might have one??

Obviously I don't wanna get one from Ford due to me not wanting to get ridden on price, so any advice would be much appreciated.

Also I think if I get the airbags and computer I might not need the whole dash, so if anybody knows of anything out there I'd appreciate you letting me know.

    Thanks.

Might not have much of a choice but to go thru ford? I'd imagine any mondeos in a scrap yard will have been crashed, therefore would not have intact airbags.

How much do you roughly think it would cost to get a dash from ford?

Would it be worth a trip to a car auction, pick up one with a million miles on it for a few quid, take the dash and sell the rest for parts?

This all depends on how the car was hit during an accident

Thats true too but i'd imagine you'd have to be extremely lucky to pick one up?

Shouldn't be that hard to get - it's a popular car and that model is around since 2001. Try your local breakers (the professional ones). Failing that there is a guy in Kerry (Griffin in Causeway ???) specialises in airbag kits. Traynors in Armagh would be a good bet; often got airbags from them in the past. PM me if you want phone numbers for these guys.

You will also need the seat belt tensioners I'd expect.
