im a tower crane operator in ireland with 6 years exp and thinking about going to oz as nothing happening here or anywhere near here.im thinking maybe going to perth area so if anyone knows if theres much work for tower crane operators over there and how hard it is to get into it over there would be a great help thanks.

Sorry, only seeing this now.

Construction work has slowed down in Perth in the last 6 months but it is still the best city to go to if you're looking for work in that area. With regards to specific crane work, it's very hard to know without contacting some organisations or companies.

In order to do any sort of site work in WA you will need to get your bluecard but this can be done online. You can get info on that sort of thing from http://www.docep.wa.gov.au/WorkSafe/ or http://www.aveling.com.au/bluecard.aspx.
