TV presenter Tony Hart dies at 83

    Hart, who lived in Surrey, had suffered from health problems for a number of years, including two strokes. His family said he died peacefully.


    Maybe not known to a lot of the younger posters here but he provided untold hours of entertainment throughout my childhood.

    There's a whole generation who followed him from non-speaking in 'Vision On' to his own show 'Take Hart'.
    I used to love the city scapes he seemed able to make with a few blobs of paint.

    Saw a programme about him recently. It was very sad, him describing how he lost the ability to draw after getting two strokes, it was the biggest cross he had to bear. Seemed like such a lovely man.
