Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chess competitions/leagues in secondary schools?

    Hi, does anybody know if there are any chess leagues or competitions organised for secondary schools, particularly in the Dublin area? Google hasn't been much help this time, so any links or contacts would be great!

    yes, there are two.

    A knockout competition that used to be called ESB Checkmate (teams of 4, U-19) but is now called something else. And the Leinster leagues run by the Leinster Schools Chess Association (U-19, U-17 and U-14 I think). It's probably too late to enter either but I can get you contact details for both if you want them for next year.

    As I said both tournaments have started so it's probably not much good for this year.
