Timber Frame Query

    Hi,

Hopefully someone can offer some advice on the following:
We are currently building a timber frame house. It is a traditional
    1.5 storey with gable barges.
The blocklayer has raised an issue with the capping for the barges.
Apparently, a concrete capping will not bond to the inner leaf (timber frame) and I am looking for a detail for this or if someone has built or
worked on a timber frame house with barges, we would greatly appreciate
    any information.
What type of capping would work in this scenario and who do I contact for further information?
Should I be looking at a lightweight metal capping solution?

    Stu

Hi Stubell, i dont know the name of the product you need but it is strips of fireproof insulation approx 3 ins wide encased in heavy plastic with a flap on either side to attch to timber frame and block. It comes in lengths approx 2m long. Hope this helps.:)
