Diving in Bali?

planning a surfing trip to bali in july. but i also love diving - does anyone know what the diving is like in bali? i hear its a surfers paradise but that usually doesnt go hand in had with nice reef dives. Any advice?

Yes its not bad. Great wreck called the Uss liberty in tullumben. 30m. They reckon its probably the best shore dive in the world. Good reefs etc of the east coast. Head to the Gilli islands of Lombok for some spectacular diving, lots of sharks and a japanesew zero at 40m

i agree with the above post. the gili islands have great diving. the surfing also rocks...boardshorts and a rashie!! great place all round really...
