Irish Times Crossword club discounts

Note: I'm not asking for discount codes (I'd imagine that would be against the rules). I went to sign up for the Irish Times Crossword club, and noticed on the signup screen there's an area to enter promotional or discount codes. Where do these come from? I buy the paper regularly, but have never seen any mention of them…
