I have double glazed windows in my place, they were there when i bought it, but they are old and the wind zips through them.

I have noticed that the walls around the window are also cold, couple of years ago i had beads blown into the walls to provide some insulation, it made some difference.

I'm hoping that when i change the windows that I will have an opportunity to pack some insulation in around the edges as I'm not sure the beads spread everywhere.

anyone know what the chance of this are? and if a window installer would do it at the time. There might be no access though as there would have been wooden windows originally and they might have plastered over the access to the cavity when the changed over initially.

I'm also looking for a decent company to do it and would love some recs , I'm in Dublin 15/7

    thanks
