Buying Audi A3 - need help

I was looking at an Audi A3 and I am a bit worried about rust on a part of the engine. Can somebody identify the part for me (cant find the manual online) and tell me is there any reason to be worried. It was imported from the UK about two years ago.

It is the top of the fuel filter.How old is the car? Unusual to see rust there....
