Other than adjusting speed limits on the roads in the device, is there are a way to amend expected journey times on roads in the device or something similar?

All GPSr units work like this, we don't have any radio update services in Ireland so the ones with this are the same, maybe pose the question to TomTomIreland on here and see what he says. My garmin unit is fairly accurate though.
