Going a long way off topic but it is a pity that the Renault Latitude never made the Irish/UK market. I think they are a decent looking car and would probably be fairly good.

Horses for courses. Not everyone falls over themselves to buy old Crapi's, Grandad's or Escrots.

I've had a brace of BL's worst cars. I was told I was mad but I never lost a penny, had trouble with parts or was left stranded by the side of the road.

I still don't get the badge snobbery. Don't post it in the for sale section or report it if it bothers you that much.

Don't get me wrong, there are certain Renaults that have graced my yard - R4 vans (ex-P<T, Eircom  ), R6, R5's , Clio.18, Safrane ......
    And there plenty get my respect R8 / 12 Gordini , R18 Turbo , Renault Sinpar 4x4 , Scenic RX4 ......

Sorry but I cannot share your enthuiasm for the Avantime :o / VelSatis :o , but the new Duster / Safrane /Clio IV get my vote if I was getting a company car

But that's exactly the point, it'd be pretty dull if we all liked the same cars, every show we'd go to would be full of escorts.

Wasn't too keen on the val satis to be honest, the concept promised so much but got lost in the transition, also I think there were too many poverty spec ones here which look shïte! Remember the 25? They were absolutely superb but scarce about here.

I worked for a Renault specialist from 89-96 and recall the R5, 12, 18, 19, 21, 25, Safrane, Clio, Extra, Traffic, Master and Alpine GTA (in electric blue). There is a guy in Louth who collects Renaults (probably his ad on Donedeal) and his collection includes an ex-Bill Cullen white R25 V6....which was given to him by Bill back in the 'good ole days'!

lad i know has a De Lorean. She started to boil somewhere in Carlow once and he called the rescue service. They came prepared, and had a rad . pipe to fit the Rennie V6 . Job was a good one!

I feel like every show is actually full of escorts :D And MGs, and capris.
Mate of mine in France is a big Ford fan, he's like an oddball there, a bit like a Renault classic owner here ;)

Please everyone involved with the theft ,and transportation ,of rare vintage toyota vehicles, from ireland to north africa. Your scum. And the so called port powers to be, and freight companys making money from other peoples loss

It appears there's a problem out there, better to meet at a local town than tell potential buyers/thieves how to get to your house. It's not getting any better out there, and as for the cops/customs taking an interest :(

For any interested parties, this is still registered in my name, the large fines are still unpaid with eflow and the next registered owner will be responsible for them.

Will you please let people interested in it know.

    Morris Marina.

I'd lovingly drop a piano on it at this stage.

I know the feeling.. I sold a car to a guy last year and for some strange reason I gave him the log book, which I would normally never do. Same scenario.. ran up bills with the toll bridge who are still after me and threatening me with court etc. I swear if I ever see him I will break my foot on his b~llocks.

You can get a form from Shannon, get it witnessed by a Peacecommissioner and then the fines are no longer your issue.

You wouldn't know what form it is by any chance? I rang them up and the guy I spoke to knew nothing about it.. said it couldn't be done

Happened me last year, lovely girl from Naas bought car, we filled out the certificate, but stupidly I trusted her to post it. The notices from NTR soon started coming. Rang her dad, who had been my point of contact, de claimed cert. posted off, and that the number must have been cloned, also claimed car not driven cause the auto gearbox had give up. . Rang NTR HQ, explained the situation but they could not help. Suggested I ring Shannon. Did so, Shannon lady suggested a method of resolving the ownership problem. before I could do so, I had the local Gardaí ringing me about "my" car! Tallagh Gardaí very interested in the car. I passed on the address of the buyers, and also her Facebook page link. Last I heard, got a letter from NTR saying situation sorted. Live and learn.

Ah I've done it myself, you'd be thinking things were after getting really quiet.
