Submissions: A companion piece to "Night at the Invasion"

Hello all,

We are now looking for a companion piece for our production of "Night at the Invasion"

We shall put the companion piece on before and have an interval after so we can get the stage ready for NATV. So in an ideal world the companion piece would be....

1) Have 2-4 characters
2) Be up to 30/35 minutes long
3) Use minimal set design
4) Be of the "Film Noir"/ 2cd world war period. NATV is set in 1938 so something around the same era. We don't want a play about joyriding and then, "and now for Orson Welles!"

Obviously we would prefer something original, but that is a big ask when we start rehearsals for NATV so soon. Maybe you already have something up your sleeve? So all submissions/ideas welcome. Any questions, please feel free to ask on thread or PM me. Deadline is 30th January 2009

You could try "A Bench at the Edge" by Luigi Januzzi. Its for 2 men (any age) and 2 "run-on" parts. All you need is a bench. Its quite a powerful play about suicide. We came second in the All Ireland with it in 2007. Check out
