I thought they stopped the clock ticking on the tax though?

    Still cool

I thought that was NCT. Pre 1980 NCT exempt. 30 y/o still for vintage tax.

Correct, and €50 VRT on importing a 30+ year-old (from an EU country) too!

thanks Alan , 102k on the clock history up as far as 80k dated 05 , in two minds what to advertise now the coupe or the GTV , coupe needs nothing so i might have to let her go .

Just to correct this a bit: I'm pretty sure VRT would still be €50 if importing from a non-EU country, but there would be Customs duty plus VAT on the value of the vehicle and on the duty and shipping cost.

Not sure about that colour, gives it a bit of a wide boy look imo.

    I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

Max tax, nil resale value ie you're married to it, as reliable as a CIE timetable.

    Crusher material IMHO.

The picture of the rear looks to have been taken in, well. let's say a camp sight. Just saying like.

I'm surprised at him squandering €2500 on a paint job so :rolleyes:
On the classic Vrt,was that not increased in the last budget to €200

It used to be (british racing?) green, remember seeing it a lot in Kilkee in the late '90s. But 96-LK-1 and not 96-L-1 for the mayor? Seems odd...

Something fishy about that car. Firstly that is a Limerick County reg, the mayor of Limerick County does not, and never had, cars provided.

The Lord Mayor of Limerick City gets a car, and the reg is XX-L-1.

So this car was simply a private plate.

i just put that reg in to the cartell.ie check and it came back good ! and tryed 96 l 1 too and that came back with a different car so i would not be worried at all over city and county reg for limerick.

But the point is the Lord Mayor of Limerick never drove an LK car.

Big engine ? For that size of car ? I'd call that undermotorized, but it certainly is bangernomics.

If that came for 1300 I'd call it a bargain, 2k is about right if not a tad dear!

Just got me thinking, the tax I'd save on one of them over the ZT would cover the extra insurance.

She would be a nice motor for 1300. He said no reasonable offer refused. Handy as a second car even.
