That said the last guy I saw driving one at a track day was driving around with no shirt on and just a racing helmet and a pair of shorts on.

would be fine if it was a she with a savage rack, plenty of space in the Volvo too for some pit lane action :P

    €1566.

LS430s aren't going for less that €5000 atm, that one is way too cheap.

It's taken down from Carzone now, not sure why, perhaps some eager Boardsie went down with cash on the hip :D

So how does that work if you buy it then? Once you get the reg cert is goes back to private, is it then a case of the 12 months tax down the swanny?

As much as that is well priced, and with the lexus being the best friend of the Luxonomics connoisseur (in reliability stakes at least), I just could not bring myself to drive a Gold car.

A truly vile colour for a car.

AFAIK, yes that is correct. In the first instance, now as is, it is a comercial (taxi) and if you buy it, it goes private, so it will have to be taxed as private.
    I could be wrong though.....
Still, although I might be flamed for saying this today, I really wouldn't bother with the tax for a few months and change ownership, oh wait, no....

There has been cases when taxi drivers went through a checkpoint without the roofsign on the car clearly being used for personal use and gardai compounding the car unless they tax it as private.

Only really extreme cases it happens whereby the owner of the car has been warned more than once. Its a very tempting thing to drive a car that is a decomissioned taxi that still has taxi tax, but if found to be driving it when it clearly is not a taxi any longer (no discs front and back and no meter) they can compound the car.

I always leave my roofsign on for this very reason.

    Lol I love those stickers.

Other hints can be to check what year the glass was made (goes for all the windows)

In which ever corner of the window where the writing is, there should be a few .'s and a number. Ie ...2 means the window was made in 02.

Good for seeing how long your "new" car has been sitting on the forecourt :P

How is that a bargain? The car is worthless (except for parts) with the broken autobox as is...

Meh. Not a bargain. There was a newer one on here recently with a long NCT (dec '12 iirc?) for less than a grand. That was a bargain :)

They can stop my ex-taxi and compound it any time they want, but first they have to do a 2 bucket wash, dry with chamois, compound only in areas where needed, then polish and wax :D

Knock a couple of quid off it and I wouldn't mind that myself.
That's a pretty nifty trick with back seats.
Suffering from nasty condensation on the back window though.

1100 is on the strong side for that I think.

The spec is absolutely huge though. Those booster cushions and traction control (usually only seen on T4's) are both particularly rare options.
