Probably because the car is worth €500. Over the top maybe, but come on, service history on something like that?

Telling a prospective buyer to "Fuk off ya tosser", be it for 5 hundred or 50 grand, is never a smart COA.

The four corners need a respray I'd say. The previous owner might have been blind.

i had a go at bangernomics last week. it might not fit in with the usual cars here but its a start.
sold my smart roadster and got a
    94 golf tdi
    170k miles
    belt and clutch done
    2 years nct
    600e
with a full tank of diesel.

it drives fantastic. inside is immaculate but the body is full of dents and small rust spots. a job for the paint doctor :-)
now i have 5k left over to spend on sweets :-)

A 94 tdi must be rare enough, most of them were straight 1.9 me thinks, grand bus anyway for €600 with a two year test.

Can I ask why you got rid of the roadster?
well ive had 11 cars in the last 4 years and i like a change. but the main reason was the other half lost her job so a major reshuffle of finances was needed. it was a fantastic car i loved every minute of driving it. its now a girl's pride and joy in drogheda. :(

I was looking at one last year, cracking little cars.
i would buy another in a heart beat. but buy a good one. have a look on theroadster.net. bad one's leak badly which cause havoc with the SAM unit. i would also recommend a hardtop. it always put a grin on my face.

Was for sale some time ago. Spoke to guy and he seems completely genuine and is an enthusiast. Would be a good buy imo.

Maybe he's had a few callers who've been expecting a €5k car for €500, it's still acting the bollix but time wasters can make you do silly things.

always had a soft spot for those T5's and looks in great condition too

Might be wrong but near the front wheel it looks like a rust patch that has spread from the sills or the lip that acts as a jacking point

I'd the same problem which spread very fast after swapping wheels with a friends car that was being scrapped

Great cars if they've been looked after,
well made and a massive difference in quality to similar era Fiesta or Escort.

That Belgian factory did a great job

Mk2 Mondeos are total bangernomics, apart from the ST200 any other model can be had for under a grand

I picked mine up for €450 off donedeal a year ago,
taxed and nct'd with receipts from Ford, Audi and BMW garages in the uk, Ford and an Indy garage over here

I've only had to do regular maintenance/servicing - just over €400 in a year

With the Michelin Energy Savers I'd fitted it's such a quiet car, handles great and I haven't lost grip in any weather

Similar looking marking on the rear bumper too, so most likely just roadspray/dirt that hasn't been washed off.

Though of course without closer inspection, both of us are just guessing :D

What? Why did he say that?

Yea i didnt get it either....surly day one at sales school tell you "dont tell the posible buyer to fuk off"
Im sniffing around for an estate and that Saab would have done nicely.
As for asking for service history ect.... well i know its alot to ask of a cheap car but sometimes cars like these can be a real find and come with full service history, 1 owner ect ect, so i dont see the harm in asking...its a standard question.
The reaction of the seller tells me its a lemon.

Come to think of it, if the mudguard is missing it would leave that kind of mark and it does look like it

I hate crap pics on ads

    +1
You can just picture the seller actually. He probally just laughed when he got the text and also thinks that the car will shift in a day or so on DoneDeal.
    Tosser.
