A 02 1.8 Almera in green has to be the most mundane thing you could possibly spend €1,200 on!

Doesn't take away from the fact it's bangernomics, but still...

wouldn't be my kind of car but I know theres some Alfa Romeo fans here. Have never seen an Alfa estate though. For 750 it sounds like an enthusiasts mobile maybe.

If you're going to view that, go over, start the car, rev the car. Listen for any knocking/rattling sound evident on revving. If it's there, just walk away.

Didnt the Gardai have a few of these back in 1998

    Just a thought

They had a few 9-3's in 2003. Not sure about 9-5's though.

Rather than spend €1200 on a boring almera, I always liked these for Japanese reliability:

I'm looking out for one of those. If it was any colour but red I'd be down there in a shot

That Almera isn't very exciting car but surely it is way better value than that Mazda. It is 5 years newer + there is 3 month tax on it.

in fairness i have not been caught out since i was 17 :) lucky enough i had my learning/shocker drama very young;) fiat 600 she was and she was a lovely thing to look at , but a pig on the road. god i get shivers now thinking about how bad it was , it almost killed me and my girlfriend at the time in brittas bay. needless to say that girlfriend did not last long lol.

No doubt, but if you make a habit of buying Saabs with them engines though it won't be long before you are :pac:

oh i hear ya loud and clear my friend , they can be a tricky little buy all right , if you get it wrong oooooh them parts are very costly :) in fairness i tend to steer clear of saabs unless a cheap one pops up like the one were talking about.

this exact car passed me today when I was out walking... engine sounded like a 2011 car... coundn't believe it.. sweet as a nut. slowed down stopped and took off again.. the stones under the wheels made more noise than the engine

went on done deal to see what kind of money they were and found the exact car.... coincidentally... had to post it

there must be something wrong with this?

the log book thing is a bit strange but it has an nct, why would it be a 2.5? some car for $800:), me going on about how great it is having a 1.1 but cars like this for some reason make me want to go mad and buy it,

    is that rule in yet:confused:

i think it more likely the owner let the nct expire for a year,

    2011

should go to 2013 if not on the new 1 year system??

    2003
    2005
    2007
    2009
    2011

why the middle of 2012? or am i doing this wrong?
