If you got that for 800 quid you'd be laughing all the way no matter how rough it is. Its worth that in parts alone I'd say !

That Porsche is a lovely looking motor, good find.

Yeah I was just thinking, if you had to break it you'd probably make money on it!

Been following the above for over a week now, it started at €1500 saying it was misfiring, in the past week its gone from 1500 to 999 and the final diagnosis being a rubbised timing chain.

Even fixed, who would want a 2.0 automatic avensis ex-taxi? (aside from a taxi driver)

Clean for the year, if it gets down to €750 i might bite....

it looks good from side, back,
but it needs to lose that huge front spoiler, ' it is a spoiler in fact'' :P

take the front spoiler off it and put some nice alloys on it , then reduuce it to 1500 euro and id buy it

That car is for sale for well over a year, it was initially for sale for around 10k, no demand whatsoever for it.

Thing is that there is very little that goes wrong with 924/944`s. If you do the most basic checks that you would do with any 2nd hand car you would get a nice little motor.

And may I add that there is very little that goes wrong with a 928, apart from electrical stuff. Top gear is completely staged - I've no doubt they made up the coolant and petrol leaks in that car.

I was actually thinking that recently. Although, it's probably not a bargain. All things considered, you'd want to have 7k to buy that. Something is bound to go wrong.

An eleven year old S class in a manky colour with manky wheels and unspecified mileage, €3500 doesn't seem too low. I hate adds with old pics too. Prominent politician ex owner, whoo haaaaaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!

You might still be able to claim mileage :P

You wouldn't have to worry about the extra cash.. sure if it was previously owned by a politician there's a big stash of it hidden somewhere in the car.

That Porsche 944 was a bargain, I'd only expect to see a 924 advertised for under €1500

There is one in Rockgrove motors here in Cork, an 85' Series 1 and their looking for €4,000!!

Which is about twice the price it should be considering it's been parked up for the last year and is fairly tatty and rough in a few places
( siezed window, torn steering wheel cover, needs a proper polish)

Definitely a car I'd consider buying next year as my first classic car

But it has to be Gold :)
