    bmw 850i v12

theres not many of them for sale, even having a quick look on pistonheads, any clean 850`s are over £10k stg,
it depends whats wrong with it, but even putting a bit of money into would surely be worth it?
(although it does look to be in a bad way)

    someone with money ring him:)

The 850 is interesting. Assuming its in and around 100k miles it could be worth a punt. If the gearbox is a gonner thats the single biggest problem. If its still shifting well then €5k would go a long way towards suspension/cooling/new interior/engine overhaul.

You'd have it in fantastic nick for less than €10k, hard to do with any 8 series.

Seeing just how much time and effort went into the ad, i'd say everything it says is suspect...

    Not that it says much!!!!!!

Going by the effort he put into his ad, I'd offer him €1 for it

That is cheap alright. Less than half the price of mine. The ad is just terrible and very vague.

    ^^ That's Right !!

Plus that Wheeler Dealer episode is a waste of bandwidth apart from the work done on the nose.

Still no response from the seller.

Bought myself a bangernomics last night... €450

99 Skoda Octavia 1.6 petrol with NCT (no tax) in fairly good nick (in for a valet as i type) and some nice original Skoda Alloys.

It needs new brakes, a few small aesthetic bits inside (ebay here I come) and a touch of paint to the rear passenger side wing, but apart from that its 100% mechanically!

thats pretty good allright, I've played the game myself to try and get the cheapest car on the road and this is the effort so far (bought of the wonderful adverts.
    http://www.adverts.ie/car/vivio/vivio/subaru-vivio-688cc-engine/540070

subaru vivio 660 cc, paid 150 euro, nct yesterday and failed on 2 cv boots which i have for 20 quid, (just stripping it down now at moment) tax for the year is 170 and i filled it up with 15 litres (still on 3/4 of a tank after 70 miles round trip to the test centre) fixed the wing up a bit aswell.

not a pretty car, not a fast car, but it'll do a job as a to work and back again

true but same can be said of all little fiat's and renaults and corsa's from mid 90's,friend has a 00 seicento and i'd prefer the subaru in a shunt, (not that it makes the subaru any better)

I wonder should donedeal just set a footing for each add as "No timewasters". It seems to be in every add, lol!

About as sexy as a nun at mass but rock solid bangernomics for 300 quid less a haggle. Toss it in the scrapyard in a year and he'll give you 200 quid back for it :)

It's just back to the point, why people don't NCT the yoke. Especially now, where it's only going to be 1 year after 1. june (for cars over 10 years old).

If they'd nct'd them before that, they've 2 years on there and it'll make it much more interesting to buy.

Test before June and fail; retest within 30 days (must book retest within 21 days); pass on retest => two-year cert.

    Not your ornery onager

This MR2 ad seems to be pushing for a very quick sale, I think it was at €2k then €1600, and now possibly €1400. What would you be looking out for with it?
