a cheap car, for a while (no nct so will need to be checked out)

If she was bought for €250 and another €250 for a new NCT, its a cheap diesel and a great engine to be fair

... heading out later to lavish it with some Carnauba. That I can do well :D

I know its silly but the angle of that drivers seat would put me off the car, i fukin hate cars/drivers who have the seat back to the rear seat of the car. Puts me straight off. Unless he's 6'5 and 26 stone.

    He's about 6"4 and 20 odd stone...

Yeah, 00reg 2.0T S80 being sold by "Martin" - I'd say he's Marcin to his friends...

You can put words in the wrong place or possibly the wrong word/phrase but misspelling words is wrong.

If you dont want to put off potential buyers and look unprofessional/dodgy, a quick spell check goes a long way imo!

/double checks post for spelling or grammatical errors :p

I don't normally pay much heed to the colour of a car ...but a Roller/Bentley in "Baby Blue" ...that's just wrong.

Go on so. I'll sock one to the next fella that offers me silly money for my beauty though :p

I agree on silly offers but there's a big difference between offering €3000 for a €5000 car and offering €4250-4500.

With tongue in cheek, I have to point out that segways, being two-wheelers, are not allowed in this forum. Segues, on the other hand, are perfectly acceptable. In fact, I would go so far as to say they are appreciated. :p

Unless the seller has stated 'no offers please' :)

Given what the bodywork looks like in your pics and also that you have documented work done on the typical wear items on the car, I think you should have asked more money but with a bit of room for offers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,399 ✭✭✭✭Esel

+1 Always leave the punter a bit of room. Even if it's 5% - we all like to feel we struck a hard bargain.

Tbh, I'd go away feeling better about myself if I managed to knock €50 off the asking price than if the seller gave me €50 luck money.

Having said that - I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.... :D

Take the German plates off the car. I did a drive by on the car yesterday and they were the only thing that let it down. I don't think a car of its class should really have those german plates(including german stickers on plate).

If you're talking bangernomics, this surely can't be missed.

    AFAIK that's a 4 cyl with a CVT box.

If it is it must be specific to the auto ones, any 2.0 Primera petrol I've ever been at was a 4 cylinder iirc.

Yeah that's what I thought, it seemed a bit strange to me!

But even still, it looks like good bangernomics to me, I wonder what the mileage is though.
