    Threads merged?

Right so, more BUSES being given away for half nothing because they're incredibly expensive to run.

Thread should be renamed "cheap cars you wish you could afford to run".

If that had a two year test and chopped springs it would fetch more than €750, way more if the miles weren't so high. That car may pop up again for sale soon.

180k miles and short test combined with horribly poor performance wouldn't tempt me for €750 though. Anything at all needed for the test and it's not remotely a bargain.

Pardon my ignorance Roverjames, what are chopped springs? My dad has one of those, for ten years now, 260,000 miles and still goin strong. Passed NCT a few weeks back, but truth being told is probably the last test it will come through, i predict the cills will begin to corrode badly over the next while.

Straight diesel engine was as dull as dishwater but you gotta admire the longevity of these cars, in most cases it is the body work that goes long before the engine

It seems you can ask mega bucks for anything VAG as long as you chop the springs, fit some retro wheels and add a set of German plates. I think it's referred to as 'scene tax'.

Or the fact it's just been fully resprayed... And it's diesel, pretty much perfect for anyone into Vento's modified...

Same way 01 A4's are still making 5 grand LOL

It's here a long time now! It's just an excuse to bring your pile of ****e to a show. Unlike the Williams Brothers (I think) Beetle, which has been sprayed to look like it's rusty, such an epic car.

It is here already - it's called the nine year rule.

Alternatively you could post and discuss cars that you like and chose not to post on items you don't agree with.

    Decisions made. End of story.

In fairness that picture is donkeys, there's a 2nd Gen Jetta in it and a late MkII Granada if I'm not mistaken.

    Edit: possibly a W123 not a Granada

I'm gonna guess at mid-90's for that pic considering the motors and the get up of your man. That would make those Carina E's only a couple of years old at the most!

Sorry, I didn't mean I was buying it, I was looking at Accords like that earlier this year and every private sale I tried was sold before I got a chance to look at it. I'm surprised this hasn't gone yet at that price - maybe they just haven't updated the ad yet :)
