4 litre engine is not for people on a budget.

No need for the rollyeyes, lad ;)

We've discussed this many a time before. Bangernomics is what you want it to be. In my book a €2k Merc grand tourer Coupe that cost €200k originally, is very much a bangernomics car, although indeed it will cost a bit to tax and fuel :D

This is why the other thread was needed. (to clear all the people who wanted to not have luxonomics and preferred sh!tboxes, get them off this thread and into the carina fanclub)

Not pretty?? They're class! The presence they possess on the road is unreal.

Joseph Stalin had presence as does the Queen...both fat and ugly.

I'll give you presence, wealthy and safety but definitely not any form of beauty.

She's well over the budget for bangernomics territory - but surely it would be worth it !!

Might not have had the easiest life of late but an 02 luxbarge with test for 800 quid is doing alright.

An indestructable diesel with only 72 k miles and new test for a grand:

Not pretty but seemingly in good nick ...that'll cart you around for a few more years to come

saw one of the s classes posted here a bit ago yesterday , i remember somebody complaining about it being on a speedramp - I saw it yesterday on the m50 sitting down on the floor on the back end, air springs must have been f*cked in it, it was still sold though

    Strangely alluring???? :pac:

Even if it is finished in the most manky green colour ever.

Is that not a fairly cheeky price for a 1994 peugeot.

do you have a link, i was fairly certain I had seen it on here as it was de-badged , had the darker than factory tints on the rear 3 windows and was black or navy in colour , it sitting down on the back triggered my memory of the post about that speed ramp

That was the one that someone said was on a ramp anyway :)

    'tis

but on the other hand ...new test & low miles seems to equal a grand these days, regardless of year and/or beauty

Test is only for a year though. Plenty of considerably younger low mileage cars with 2 years test available for less money. I'm unimpressed with your choice :D

Agree, i'd really begrudge giving a grand or even €800 for that car

Haven't contributed to this thread for a while...

Come on folks, all that luxury for well under 2k. Yeah its not the diesel which is probably the superior engine but again look at the price.

    NO NCT.

Too good to be true I reckon? It must need some expensive work to pass NCT.

I commented on the ramp on that S Class but I was only saying it made it difficult to see whether it was sitting properly or not.
Limerick man knows the car so I doubt it had issues

Can't understand a garage selling a car without NCT. You would imagine it would be worth more than without it. mmm....

Exactly. Why wouldn't they get it through NCT, then flog it for 2 grand say. Engine problem maybe? I suppose if they had an NCT failure report, you could get an idea of how much it would cost to fix up.

Nice lookin motor. If I could get that through the NCT for less than an extra 500, I'd be chuffed.
