I don't know anything about the Royall. She looks like she's in superb nick. Less than €2000 for a vintage car in great nick with service history and very low mileage. Bargain.

No VRT paid and will have to be NCT's.

On top of that the parts are rare and they rust like hell.

    Therefore I'm out

    €1000 bring it home?

    Lovely looking.

Really liking this, love the alloys, anyone know if it would have an immobilizer as standard? How does that gearbox work with no clutch, is it a case of ease off on the throttle and then just change gear as normal with no clutch required or what?

That's obviously a 900 that someone has made up to look like a later 9-3 Aero.

Can't see the point to be honest.

admittedly a cack colour on a very dull car but...

NCT'd, just had a timing belt and service and a relatively low mileage!

I think so, only remember the later Monza though, when I worked in a factors an occasional customer had one.

The interior of that Vauxhall reminds me of the VIP area in Lilly Bardellos

Never been in the VIP section, then? :D

Only slaggin' - it does look very plush (the Royale interior). Anyone have a look at it yet? Brake pedal looks a bit too worn for only 58K miles...

    Not your ornery onager

I'll take your word for it, Club M and Diva were the clubs I frequented when I lived in Dublin :pac:

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Always been a fan of the Monza. If I had any money I'd be very tempted :)

there's been a thread floating around here the last few days, some chap from Dublin (i think) 28 years old with 9 years NCB can't get one insured. if they're so difficult to insure i suppose it devalues the car to an extent.

€1000 to buy it 200 to clear and another few quid for the test and a few bits.

    €1500 for a really nice 3series?

That's a lot of assumptions on the easy clearing of a nearly 15 year old car. Yours by any chance?

In fairness a looksee and a testdrive would tell a lot, it looks potential value if it's straight.

    ^^^

It's nowhere near as bad as the internet would have you believe. For a 90s diesel it was grand.

driving perfectly, but engine needs attention. what could possibly be so bad that couldn't be repaired considering the asking price?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,157 ✭✭✭Compton

On those two things spring to mind. Butterfly flaps failing in the intake manifold and worn piston rings leading to high emissions and NCT failure.
