He could at least get a test on it before moving it on.

I googled the previous sellers number and found he had a few bits of car parts/cars for sale so I figured there was not a whole lot in this car for anyone.

I can remember the VP of my company having one of these in 2000/2001.. 1st time I'd seen a TV in car! I love that shape too.. still looks great.

    Superb motor.

Pretty much in agreement there except for the alloys. Propably the fact i've spotted them on every VW i.e. golf bora passat. It takes from the wow factor:)

That A6 has golf wheels :D

Just noticed the front passenger one doesn't look in the best of shape. Could be just a bad photo though

I feel an urge to buy it - Christ the tax alone is worth over €300. So €450 for an automatic Merc with NCT till '13

Have these only a lapbelt in the middle in the back?

New head gasket and timing belt/water pump + lots more.... I'd say it fits here, but the Rover K-series engine haters will be along soon.

    Not your ornery onager

No they won't. You, me, RJ and others have scared them away :)

Seriously it is good value for a car that is likely to be in good condition. And much cheaper to insure than a much less powerful, much less potent, much more expensive to insure but equally ridiculously spoilered underpowered Civic or Corolla. The Rover still is ridiculously spoilered though...

Bought this about in May, it's perfect bar the airbag light on due to the front "crash" sensor...

    €850 buys it

Due to my youth I couldn't insure the bloody thing because it's a V6 :(

I must try get a video of the sound, he has the sweetest rumble I'veheard from anything that size.

The spoiler is OTT alright but as you go around corners welded to the road and catch a glimpse of it in the rear view mirror it wouldn't seem out of place :D

If the HG was done by a competent mechanic that car is great value for €1000. Some sticky tires and she'd be great fun.

    Blatant Plug!!!!

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2357741

I have run this as a daily driver on a classic insurance policy since may. New project on the way, and this has to go, as Mrs Gyp doesnt want any more cars around the house.

That's strange, I was only saying to the father this morning how you would never see them around. Really cheap motoring right there!

Local tire fitter has a big yank chevvy V8 thing, was getting a puncture fixed and one of the lads working there asked was the ZT a V8 after I drove it into the bay.

Aye but you've an extra .5 over what I have! I drove a 2.5 v6 Freelander once upon a time, sweet sound.

My sister had her 2.2 6cylinder straight over a few months back and we had a bit of a rev off, hard to say with I'd prefer.

Was tempted to go have a look at this as I'm looking for a cheap & cheerful 2nd car for wife. She told me she wouldn't be caught dead in it! The spoiler is a bit ridiculous all right!
