The 7 Series is a nice car, as for being jealous i cant say i am i'd much rather a W140 S320 or a LS430.

But we wouldn't buy one that's wanked out and if anyone linked one they'd get a kick up the hole, the same way we've laughed when people have posted modified Carina's that look tac tastic!

So anyway myself and herself had a long chat and she agreed that I should continue to fulfill my life long passion for Saabs by buying this beauty and loving and cherishing it and told me it was me or the car. Anyway she's talking to me again so that's a start :D

98 2.3 turbo with one owner from new. It was a swimmer but arrived in Ireland with its original owner. It seems to have been very well minded to a point and I'd say over the last few years the owner just didnt spend as much time or money on it as was needed.

Firstly as its a UK car it already had two wings fitted which are starting to bubble around the arches. There's the best part of 4-500 quids worth of marks around it if I was to bother. And I think the alternator isnt giving its all but it is charging. Four fairly new Pirelli P6000s, interior is tip top, autobox goes up and down the gears as it should and apart from the above there doesnt seem to be much else wrong with it. Given that its a UK car its very solid and like I said it seems only to be the wings that have suffered.

6 hour round trip to Waterford this evening to bring her home so I've no pics as yet. Its still sitting up on the trailer outside the house for now. I'll give it a shakedown tommorow and post some pics but all in all shes well worth the 400 quid I gave for it given that its taxed till Feb and its tested well into next year. It'll either be sold very quickly or yet another project begins. :)

Alfa 156 with loads of tax:

Non Turbo Diesel Primera, no evidence of tax or test, but comes with lifetime immunity from speeding tickets.

I seen an identical 156 go to its death in a scrapyard :(

Got the steering wheel from it though :P

I had a UCF20 LS400 for a while and it was a pure joy to drive.

I have regular access to one of these and its a dog.

    Its smooth, quiet, powerful.

    But...

You sit on the seats as opposed to in them, the steering feedback resembles a boat tiller, and it corners like a bloated barge.

    Singapore Taxi IMHO.

    fishtits, also a BMW driver.

Fair enough :) Granted, a completely different drive but excellent at what it does. However, 'smooth, quiet, powerful' <> Dog !

(edit) Re: steering, I fitted a reconditioned rack to mine and it went from steering air to giving some decent feedback.
It has speed sensitive steering which can give trouble (like always being on) along with dodgy/leaking racks well into the 100k ml.

    (edit2): - All for 750 eur :D

Well that 75 is still available:
    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2668390

Looks like it has another dent in the front wing, so it's not nearly as immaculate as when my old man had it but it's still pretty tempting at that money!

I love how he says "very hi spec" yet theres cloth seats. High spec 75s came with leather.

An odd request, but if anyone sees an automatic Rover 75 CDT/CDTI Connoisseur SE for less than crazy money (i.e, <€2500), can they let me know? I'm searching all over the place but can't find one. There are a few manuals around, but what's the point in a manual in that sort of car?

It would be a swimmer but I reckon it will go for about 1500

Looks very clean! And if the service history checks out... why not? :D

You could use it as a track car. Sure my Polo has 11 previous owners. :o

I'd put money on it being a pisstake/chicken coop.

For 700 euro its worth a look. They weren't that reliable when they were nearly new.

Wonder what it's like 120k miles later and 14 owners then!
