    That's a 190? Looks worth a look, especially if it's auto.

Odd sounding, I checked wiki for a 180E. Mywheels says its a 1.8 petrol, wiki says it's an australian model. Never seen one before.

While there was a 1.8 190E in Europe, in Oz the 1.8 190E was rebadged as a 180E. Same engine.

and the rumors in the pub is mighty with the farmers talking about it. And as we all know this is always 100% fact:):)
they mentioned it on the radio this morning, so i imagine it's in one of the papers. they mentioned having to declare it for commercial only use and that it would exclude things like doing your shopping in it or dropping the kids off to school etc. but i was half asleep so i didn't really hear the whole thing.

I saw Ebays finest "3m adhesive" version of them on a spiffing blacked out Avensis rolling on gangsta rims near Southill in Limerick recently. Classy stuff.

From the wheel arch pic, that tyre seems gone. Presume new rubber all around will be needed...

Might not make out to be such a bargain after all! With that untreated rust, where it's parked and the lack of tyres, you'd have to wonder...

Yeah, you are more than likely correct, the one I put the picture up of I bought for €430, she had been off the road a year. I had to service it, put 3 tyres on her (I know but there was one good one on her :D ), get a relay (€90) for the rev counter and the ABS and spend a good few hours sorting the ABS. Also needed a battery bracket for the NCT. All in getting her past the NCT and driving her for 4 months I threw €500 at her. That's not going near a garage either. Refused a grand for her two months before I sold her as she was taxed for 3 months. Then a vacuum hose broke so she wouldn't shut off with the key, had to stall her. Wasn't overly interested in sorting it as the hose needed replacing ('twas a T piece that broke) and sold her as she was for €700.

The way things have gone in the last 12 months is surprising, €2000 gets you loads and loads of car, the sh1tters for €600 / €700 with 12 months NCT don't look like value anymore.

That's very true, but you could also have the sh1tters with a bit of make up on priced at €2,000, you just have to be very careful/lucky!

Someone buy my Saab, it could be a relatively easy fix, if you're good with engines. You would have a whole lot of car for €2k once she's up and running :)

Is it just me, or are these not the same car? The little badge on the boot is the big give away for me?

They aren't the same car, one has xenons and slightly different centre console.

Assuming you're looking at the extra bit of wood, that's the bit that folds down over the radio?

Edit: Admittedly, the little badge I was looking at was the key hole! :o

And they both seem to have xenons?

Snazzy! Still, one has xenons and headlamp jets. Also, the tax disc holder seems to be in a different position in both.

Really like these older 7 series. Wide 'n' low sleek kind of look about them. A real bond car.

The car that replaced it was painful to look at.
