    98 Lexus GS300 Eur 1700. Not bad.

They have so much potential! Sweet car, pity about the Irish spec.

I wouldn't be too worried about the mileage. Full service history and a 3l V6 engine untouched by boy racers - it would likely have had a very very easy life. Just passed the NCT so suspension should be ok too.

Nice 728i Sport for very little money.

I rang him already. Good guy. He'd take 1200 for it anyhow.

Has a Full BMW service history, but the mileage is very high at 260k (miles). I know a little bit about this cars history, and it's supposed to be in exceptional condition for it's age and mileage. I've seen a few 7's like this with 400k+ miles so it wouldn't concern me too much.

I would have bought it if it was a 740i but having owned a 4.4 model already, i'd probably miss the power too much.

Unkel, Im very surprised at you, its a I6, not a V6.

Bullet proof engine the 2JZ-GE, some Jap imports have the excellent Twin-Turbo version 2JZ-GTE that is also found in the Supra.

I also have a 98 one (with leather) and has been 100% reliable in 4 years of ownership, cheap cheap reliable cruiser

    <big quote snip>

:O I'd be frigthened of the high mileage (As you would with something with potentially very high repair bills), but for 1200 quid how could you go wrong!

    I'd stay way from this.
    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/1669279

How about some Old Skool e30 .....

    View2-4408497.jpeg

    nct'd 4/2012

Picked up for 750 - 800 I would think, Ok its 1.6 and may have some niggly bits ... but still :pac:

Exactly, you'd close to that for the interior and wheels.

I'd say it'd go another 100k no hassle at all.

You'd have to be prepared to be the last owner though.

    Love these

A tad high money though imo. Good picture. Captures the cars agressive look.

Were the 2.0 Galants sold here straight 4's or V6's?

Mitsubishi's 5 series clone. Always liked the look of them. But not with the standard little wheels, they look lost in those wheel arches.

Isn't there a fairly powerful 2.5 v6 version of this? Now that model with full leather would be a nice motor.

The 2.5 V6 was the VR4, savage yoke, I don't know if the 2.0 ones were V6 or straight 4, I have an inkling that the ones sold here were V6s but I'm not at all sure where that inkling comes from.

It seems the 2.0 was the 136bhp straight 4 GDI over here, don't those GDI engines cause trouble or was just just the smaller ones in the Carisma?

Love thembut a shame they have the most horrible plasticky interior with that plastic wood. Yuck

I had a little commercial pajero pinin with a 1.8 gdi engine & it had a trademark tappet rattle. But in the year i had it, it was reliable & fairly nippy. Not a bother with it.

Must say it was the worst sounding petrol engine i have ever heard. It sounded like a tractor. Especially starting from cold.

The 2.0 were almost always a 4 cylinder engine. The 2.0l Mivec was only in Asia and quite rate.
