That's what I was thinking, although being an Auto maybe not but it still could have been fun and cheap :D

Last trackday, we had one guy out with a BMW 318 Auto Touring (E30) that was stripped out for track use and one guy with a 535d Auto. Both performing quite perfectly for the purpose.

Well, and if the auto-box becomes boring, you can always make it a project to convert it to manual. Definatly won't loose money on the car. It being a 2.0, it's also not the slowest thing in the world.

A friend of mine knows a thing or two about cars and he recons the best thing he has ever drifted was a 530d auto!

Lots of car for the money, but it's manual and no leather. Also more than likely due a belt change (wouldn't bother myself, Rover engineer tells me they are specced for 150,000 miles and should last beyond that unless the belts get contaminated, also very very few are known to snap belts and as its an expensive job many never get it done). VIS motors for the power and balance valves may well be needing replacement too, not too expensive (about a ton sterling each iirc). If there is no rattle off the inlet manifold and she is straight otherwise it's not a bad car. The KV6 is quite bulletproof really and a peach of an engine.

What's that V6 out of? Surely you'd pick up a leather interior for pittance, and I'd prefer the manual era!

Edit: You might benefit from cloth in this weather :P

Rover KV6, gave loads of trouble in the 90s in the 800, all sorted for the 75 and ZT, lovely sound off them.

    It's a Rover

Don't think it will fare well in the reliability stakes. Company doesn't exist anymore either :D

    Yawn,
List 3 or 4 common issues with a 2.0KV6 Rover 75 without having to consult HonestJohn or some other online resource for enthusiasts that know sfa about cars if you're so smart ;)

Hey what the hell? A diesel camry? never seen that before. Anybody any idea what they're like?

Pity its 4x4, that'll absorb any sort of decent fuel economy im sure.
have seen pleanty of diesel ones but thats the first 4wd one ive seen, could live with that myself.

That's probably my next favourite Banger after the W124, although I'm generally a bit suspicious of cars for sale with a lot (of moneys worth) tax left.I would hang on to a car for a few months rather than flog it with 300 odd quids worth of tax on the windshield. A more cynical person might suspect it was just about to sh!t a bucket of nuts and bolts.I still want it though......

yeah I'd be suspicious too. I was going to say its a damn cool car. Cools the wrong word. Nostalgic maybe. :p

I like it though. So square. So wrong but yet so right! :D
