nct 01/11 should pass nct again no problem
Then why doesn't he put it through and hike the price by another 500 ?:D

(probably hinges on the definition of "no problem")

ooh, this might be a good buy for the money.

doesn't seem to be in too bad nick for the year.

don't see any mention of mileage tho.

so what does that mean? do you think it's been crashed & repaired or it just not the one you'd go for?

sorry if i'm being a bit dim. :)

It could just be a simple case of lights broken but I would be inspecting it carefully for anything more

A friend of mine is looking out for a late model Pug 106 1.5 diesel (basically the same car) as he thinks they are the dogs bollix as an economical banger. His wife has a 1996 106 1.1 with 220,000 miles on the clock!

Have booked it in for NCT next Sunday. There are few problems - last night had to disconnect battery terminal to kill the radio, air conditioning doesn't seem to be working and needs timing belt done properly because engine sound a little bit like diesel, needs new thermostat and airbag light came on this morning. It's a nice car to drive otherwise.

roll the sleeves up , update your tool box :D welcome to the life of an alfa owner , saying that i love 147"s , thats looks an absolute minter in fairness , i had two 147"s (the previous model) i loved them , in the summer they drove perfect, in the winter gave me a few probs for some reason , bargain at 1200 .

Why the summer? It's not convertible and it's perfectly safe to drive it in winter!

Huge milage I'd say. Seats are covered indicating a lot of wear and tear. The "toe" (tow) bar that was never used is remarkably worn looking with scuff marks on the lower rear bumper, which is where the hitch of all trailers hit their cars.
If the milage wasn't too high it would be good value but I'd say you would want to be very careful with that one.

That's about what I was thinking, I reckon with motorway driving it would save me a packet on fuel.

Only if it's possible to pull out that front seat and replace it with something man sized for a beanpole like me. Anyone ever tried something similar?

Or even some way of pushing them back further. That looks suspiciously similar to the seats in the other halfs Clio which I find a bit titchy.

    Wheels turning.

well in fairness , i did buy it from my brother , we were having a few beers and he was saying he still had it , i said i might insult you with a bid to take it off your hands , he said ok , i said 3 ton , the rest as they say is history , speaking of which it has a full stamped one from ambrose glass . the guy who owned it kept the receipts for everything , from tyres to a head gasket it got in 09 . delighted with my self , i was offered a grand for it already but i think its a keeper , i love alfas and fiats (the oldish ones ) always give you something to do on a sunday:D, im looking at a barrchetta on wedsday , hope the wife does not see this post:eek:
