    OK im totally fupped lads the sales guys have a demo to clients in the morning
    earlier on i uninstalled my version of 2005 and just then noticed the cd!

    my SQL Server 2005 developer edition CD is scratched to bits and wont run

    can i get a lend of sql server 2005 developer edition off anyone tonight
    ill offer €20 and have it back to you by 10am
    i will show u the box and the cd of my original to prove im not just copying it
    im in south Dublin !!!

    you could download for free from the MS website?

    you might be able to get developer as well

    i think that only allows 5 concurrent connections though

    Do you use a DB mapping tool or relational persistence tool like Hibernate?

    You could have changed your DB to an open source solution like mySQL or PostreSQL temporarily for the demo.

    how did you get on?

    five connections should be fine for a demo (but I don' think Express has a connection limit)

    what sort of company doesn't have backups, advance notice of demos ?
