The PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship takes place today in Crawley starting at 12 noon with 64 players competing.
The two Irish players, Ryan Maher and David Coyne, have tough opening matches.
Ryan has been drawn against No. 4 seed, Shaun Griffiths, while David takes on Adam Hunt.

    Best of luck, lads.

Michael Van Gerwen and James Hubbard will play in the World Youth final in the new year after today's event. Both players also qualify to play in the Grand Slam Of Darts which starts tomorrow week.

Nigel Heydon and Magnus Caris have won places in this year's Grand Slam Of Darts after tonight's qualifying tournament. Hard luck to Ireland's Keith Rooney who lost to Caris in the last 4.

Another round of players championship events this weekend in Crawley and in today's event Justin Pipe defeated Vincent Van Der Voort in the final 6-3 to claim his 3rd PDC tournament victory in a month.

Day 2 under way in Crawley and Willie O'Connor has been knocked out in the 1st round. Willie's chances of qualifying for the World Championship have taken a major blow this weekend with Belgium's Kim Huybrechts having 2 good days to overtake Willie in the PC rankings.

2 events left at the end of November to qualify for the World Championship. Personally I think Willie will have to do a personal PDC best and reach a semi final in 1 of these tournaments in order to qualify IMO.

A good day for Brendan Dolan as he has reached the semi finals where he plays either Belgian Kim Huybrechts or yesterday's winner Justin Pipe. Dave Chisnall v Co Stompe in other semi final.

Dolan plays Pipe in semi. Chisnall beats Stompe 6-5 in other semi.

Dolan was defeated 6-0 by Pipe in semi. Well done to Dave Chisnall on his 1st PDC tournament triumph when he defeated Pipe 6-4 in the final.

Taylor beats Ronnie Baxter 6-1 in todays final in Wigan.

Brendan Dolan Beat Jimmy O'Regan, Jelle Klaasen before losing to Peter Wrigh in the 3rd round.
William O'Connor beat Adam Hunt 6-3, before losing 6-1 to Michael van Gerwen in the second round.
Aodhagan O'Neill beat Geoff Whitworth 6-4 before losing 6-0 to Vincent van der Voort in the second round.
I think Lewis has to win tomorrow’s tournament to make it into the players Championship’s. He is not playing well in the floor tournaments this year.

William O'Connor's chances of qualifying for the World Championship look slim after today's event. It would be a disaster for the PDC if Adrian Lewis doesn't qualify for the Players Championship especially with the event been screened live on ITV4. Looks highly unlikely at this stage that he'll qualify.

Taylor wins again in wigan beating pipe in the final 6-4. Lewis got to the semi- final. Dont think he makes the players championships.

Lewis hasn't made the Players Championship grand finals. He had to win out today's tournament to qualify. Justin Pipe will be the number 1 seed for the Players Championship.

Willie O'Connor missed out on qualifying for the World Championship. A disappointing end to his year after a great start to it. There are 2 places left to fill from tomorrow's PDPA Qualifier which Willie can't enter due to competing in the Irish Qualifier earlier this year.

World Championship draw will be made on Sky Sports News on Tuesday at around 11 30am.

Might wake Lewis up a bit, at times he thought he just had to show up to win.

He was doing too much exhibitions lately and not taking the floor tournaments serious enough. I can't imagine ITV4 will be thrilled about the World Champion not been on their TV tournament!

A horrendous start by the ex BDO boys in Spain! Hankey beat in the prelim round and Dean Winstanley and Tony West both knocked out in 1st round! Brendan Dolan and Willie O'Connor both into 2nd round.

Ian White hits a 9 darter in his 6-4 first round win over Mark Hylton.

    Huybrechts beat Winstanley.

i cant say im surprised, if Huybrechts plays like he did in the worlds, then he's easily in the best 16 players in the PDC.

he's an exceptional player. I think he'll have a big year!!

An unlikely enough quarter finals lineup. Must be a very nervous first tournament of the year for many.

    Quarter-Finals
    Justin Pipe v Shaun Griffiths
    Ian White v Darren Whittingham
    Wes Newton v Magnus Caris
    Mark Walsh v Paul Nicholson

Sounds as if Ian White is playing great stuff. No money earned at all for Ted Hankey, Dean Winstanley, Tony West, Chris Mason or Peter Manley. No sign of Steve West, Robert Thornton or Andy Jenkins.

Delighted to see Ian White and Shaun Griffiths reaching the quarter finals. A good start to Darren Whittingham's PDC career after just winning a tour card at Qualifying school last week. Interestingly half of the players that won tour cards last week aren't playing in this event.
