    Hi.

I'm Best Man at a Cork wedding in a few months, and I'm currently trying to co-arrange a Stag with the groom. I used to live in Cork City a few years ago, but I've been gone a while now, so I don't really know what facilities / activities are in the area.

Any suggestions? This is in the Cork forum, but really anywhere in Munster is good. It won't really be one of the crazy stags, no strippers or viking helmets etc. Basically we're both into outdoors-active stuff. So I'm thinking of things like gun ranges (though maybe not paintballing), rock climbing, karting. That kind of thing. Really just the day time stuff, we can sort ourselves out once the sun goes down.

    Muchos gracias.

Are there many of Ye going?
I was on a work trip to a place in Killarney that did laser combat, quad bike driving blindfold! and other outdoor stuff like orienteering

I was at aonther one in Skibbereen that did:
Abseiling, Rock-climbing, Orienteering, Raft building, Raft Race,Tug-of-war

    All good fun

I can get more details if you want.

    There'll probably be about 10-15.

Yeah, those are the kinds of things I'm talking about, thanks. They sound ideal. If you have any links handy, please post them. If not, don't worry; I can probably find the organisations easily enough myself, really looking for ideas / locations.

    Cheers!

Go to Dingle. Great town to go on the beer and loads of outdoor activities available. Climb Brandon, loads of water sports etc. Just be careful when booking rooms, they don't really want stags in a lot of places. Houses can be booked in the town as well which would be ideal.

If ye coming from somewhere in Ireland and driving down or hiring a bus then go to Garretstown, inchadoney or inch for surf lessons is a great laugh, highly recomended.
    garretstown
    http://www.surfgtown.com/
    inchadoney
    http://www.westcorksurfing.com/
    inch
    www.swellsurfschool.ie

Inchadoney is slightly further but far nicer setting. Lunch / dinner /drink in Kinsale or Clonakilty after. Swell in inch do coasteering etc which is supposed to be a laugh if no waves.

    water skiing
    http://www.waterskiireland.com/tow_rates.html

Colloseum on Mcacurtain street for pool / bowling etc.

    http://www.kinsaleoutdoors.com/index.php

They transport you to lots of different activities.
    http://www.butlers-buses.com/cork-li...activities.htm

    wall climbing
    http://www.mardykearena.com/climbingwall.cfm

Could always look into a soccer, gaa or rugby match too.

Sea safari and harbour tours, never done myself though.

Theres a good few paint balling options too, http://www.eastcorkadventurecentre.ie/contact.html

wouldnt be too far off from the swell surf school if ye wanted both. similarly i think theirs a place in kilbrittain between inchadoney and garretstown.

maybe check out this site before ye go http://www.whazon.com/

Go to the pub. Watch televised sports. Have fun with your friends.

I find any stag with stagtivities are a pain tbh.

I went on a stag with this group http://www.safari.ie/about.html and we took out two RIBs around Cork Harbour. It was excellent. Full wet gear provided. They go full speed and you can stop off at the various towns like Monkstown, Crosshaven and Cobh so it's a pub crawl by sea.
I think it cost €60 per head.
