Anyone notice yesterday that Obama introduced legislation on Lobby groups in his adminstration. I think its a great thing that finally the AIPAC lobby group will finally have restrictions.

AIPAC is known as The New York Times calls it "the most important organization affecting America's relationship with Israel.".

Of course Israel intrests must be lobbyied along with Irish and the rest of the world but AIPAC has had too much power in Conservative right wing goverments like the Bush Adminstration.

Good to see him get stuck in straight away.:D

What I've seen has nothing to do with AIPAC (apart from affecting them as much or as little as any other lobby group) and is nothing whatever to do with sending a message to Israel or any other country. It does however send a message to current appointees that they're not longer allowed to be bribed by lobbyists or toss in their government job and go straight into lobbying their former colleagues.
