A very soft inflamable metal that's twice as heavy as lead and could fog photographic film.
urannium salts are brightly coloured so any school lab would help rule out other metals.

it might also be Tungsten as it is also twice as heavy as lead but is a little harder and doesn't burn.

Depleted uranium used in weapons is very hard - it would be a pretty useless penetrator if it wasn't. It is also pyrophoric at temperatures of ~ 600 C. There are simple field tests to indicate it's presence but other metals can give positive results.
Like I said, if there was confirmation of it's use it would be big news.

Yes of course we should Nodin because after all these are only Arab children that this slaughter has been perpetrated against.

I haven't bought Israeli fruit for years and I won't until Israel affords those it occupies even the basic human rights. I have been to Israel and Gaza before and I will not go to Israel again. When I saw the treatment of the Palestinians, the everyday annoyances, the humiliation, the incursions and the attitude of the Israelis to them, it disgusted me so much that I have since discouraged anyone I know who was thinking of taking holidays from going there.

I'm only one person and I do not fool myself that I will make a big difference but if we all sat on our hands and did nothing, nothing would ever change.

There is something we can do, if we work together and give up those fillet-o-fish meals, Nike shoes and having tea at Starbucks we can make a difference.

    The groups aims are simple:

To boycott companies that sponsor Israeli state terrorism
To boycott companies that support the apartheid state of Israel
To boycott companies that support the Israeli displacement and killings of innocent men, women and children

    Be part of the change!

There are many groups advocating boycott, but for a boycott strategy to be effective it needs numbers and coordination not just names of products and stores.

JOIN THE BIGGEST UK GROUP AND THE ONLY ONE WITH THE 'SELECTIVE APPROACH' STRATEGY....

    So,

    1) if we get 20'000 people in the UK, we can agree 3 products/stores that we will boycott to be effective

    2) If we get 40'000 people in the UK, we can agree 5 products/stores to boycott

    3) The more numbers and better coordination = the more effective our boycott

Boycott Israel does not = anti semitism
Boycott Israel does not = hate Jews (in fact there are many Jews who disown themselves from the state of Israel)
    Boycotting is a consumer choice!

A bar code starting with "729" indicates that this product is produced in Israel

The biggest companies that support Israel’s policies:

    CATerpillar
    Starbucks
    McDonald’s
    Estée Lauder
    L Oréal
    Marks & Spencer
    Sara Lee
    Coca-Cola
    Intel

    1. The Chairman and CEO of STARBUCKS, Howard Schultz, is an active Zionist.

In 1998 he was honored by the Jerusalem Fund of Aish HaTorah with "The Israel 50th Anniversary Friend of Zion Tribute Award" for his services to the Zionist state in "playing a key role in promoting close alliance between the United States and Israel".
At a time when other businesses were desperately pulling out of Israel, Starbucks decided to help Israel's floundering economy and invest in Israel.
It has been revealed that Starbucks still continues to support Israel by sponsoring fund raisers for Israel.
Starbucks fully supports Bush's war of terror and has opened a Starbucks in Afghanistan for the US invaders - they like to do there bit to help the occupation.

    2. COCA COLA: From 1966 onward Coca-Cola has been a staunch supporter of Israel.
In 1997 the Government of Israel Economic Mission honored Coca-Cola at the Israel Trade Award Dinner for its continued support of Israel for the last 30 years and for refusing ro abide by the Arab League boycott of Israel.
[ In contrast Pepsi abided by the Arab League boycott of Israel which ended in May 1991, after 1992 Pepsi is also trading in Israel.
In 2001 the Coca-Cola World Headquarters hosted and was the main sponsor of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala.
It has been revealed that Coca-Cola Israel sponsors training programs for its workers on subjects including the Israeli-Arab conflict. The course content is created by a company funded by the Jewish Agency and the Israeli government.
In July 2002, it has been announced that Coca-Cola, in return for millions in incentives from the Israeli government, is to build a new plant on stolen Palestinian land at Kiryat Gat.

    3. McDonald's -
McDonalds chairman and CEO Jack M. Greenberg is an honorary director of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., of Metropolitan Chicago.
According to the Chicago Jewish Community Online (website of the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago), McDonalds Corporation whose global headquarters is based just outside Chicago is a major corporate partner of the Jewish United Fund and Jewish Federation.
Through its Israel Commission, the Jewish United Fund "works to maintain American military, economic and diplomatic support for Israel; monitors and, when necessary, responds to media coverage of Israel".

    4. ESTEE LAUDER: Estée Lauder's chairman, Ronald Lauder, also one time chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, is the current president of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) - a quasi-governmental agency whose main function is to legitimize Israeli occupation of Palestinian land. Ronald Lauder is an ardent Zionist. His activities have been catalogued by American Muslims for Jerusalem who called for a boycott in February 2001. In fact his views are often more extreme then some Israeli governments!

    5. SARAH LEE. (Includes Hanes, Playtex, Leggs, Champion). This is also not to be confused with the frozen snacks company. This is in regard to the clothing giant.
Sara Lee owns 30% of Israels leading textile company Delta Galil. Sara Lee is the world's largest clothing manufacturer, this opens the worlds markets to Israel, with cloths originating in Israel and being sold around the world under one of the many famous Sara Lee brands.

In 1998, Mr. Lucien Nessim of Sara Lee Personal Products received the Jubilee Award by the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. This is the highest tribute ever awarded by the "State of Israel" in recognition of those individuals and organizations, that through their investments and trade relationships, have done the most to strengthen the Israeli economy.

    6. RIVER ISLAND clothing chain, ISROTEL and IBROTEL HOTELS in Spain and Portugal, BRITANNIA PACIFIC PROPERTIES. (This one probably relates least to any of us) - a diversified international investment company, with headquarters in London, England. They said to be one of the largest real estate owners in the Sacramento Metropolitan area.
It appears that the British based Lewis Trust Group is one of the companies developing hotels in the Aqaba Region. David Lewis, the Chairman of the company, is a prominent supporter of "Israel." Mr Lewis maintained that he is involved in the joint "Israel - Jordanian" tourist project "because Shimon Peres asked me to be."
Mr Lewis's activities have included the raising of money for the Jewish National Fund, a primary agency in the historic and continuing displacement of Palestinians from their land, ensuring only Jews use it. (Company money has funded such fund-raising events) He is also a member of the Israel-Britain Business Council. This organization is dedicated to the development of the Zionist State, by channelling British capital to the occupied territories for the benefit of the Zionists and the exploitation of the Palestinians. It's really sick when it's not even just personal money, but corporate funds.

    7. TIMBERLAND: (clothing, shoes, boots, jackets, etc.)
Timberlands is a $1.1 billion footwear, apparel & accessories company. Its President and CEO Jeffrey Swartz is an active zionist.

In a recent "solidarity visit" to Israel, he advised how best to get Israel's propaganda lies acceptable to the US public. In an interview where he made it clear he was speaking as the CEO of Timberland, he suggested sending 100 IDF thugs to the US for a week as ambassadors for Israel. (the worst kind of Zionist).

Although Timberland is a publicly traded company, his family holds approximately 47% of the stock and has approximately 81% of the voting power.

    8. CATERPILLAR: Caterpillar is a company based in Illinois that manufactures large construction equipment such as bulldozers, tractors, various demolishion equipment and has a line of "tough guy" clothing apparel. Caterpillar happily supplies Israel with all of its current fleet of D9 and D10 bulldozers, some of the largest armoured bulldozers in the world. These bulldozers have been used to demolish over 7,000 homes in Palestine since 1967 regardless if people were inside or not. This is one of many human rights violations Israel has committed. Caterpillar is more than aware of what its equipment is being used for and fully supports Israel. A Caterpillar D9 is also the same bulldozer that ran over and killed Rachel Corrie, a peaceful American protestor standing in front of a Palestinian home... the driver said "she was in the way" and proceeded to run her over... twice. Caterpillar also has many self-proclaimed Zionists on its board of directors. Do not buy any Caterpillar equipment or anything from their "tough guy" clothing apparel line.

Here is link to a Jewish website "Stop Caterpillar." It's goal is to publicize recent events and make people aware of the Israeli government's atrocities involving this equipment. Caterpillar has also recently been charged with War Crimes in US Federal Court.

    9. NESTLE -
The swiss company owns 50.1% of israeli food maker Osem Investments. In dec 2000, it announced , it will invest millions of dollars to operate the new R&D centre
    in israel.
In 1998, Mr. Peter Brabeck-Letmathe on behalf of Nestle, received the Jubilee Award by the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

    Pick n Payn -
Known to fund Zionist organisations and imports Israeli goods.

Estee Lauder chairman Ronald Lauder is also the president of the Jewish
National fund, a quasi-governmental agency whose main function is to
legitimize Israeli occupation of Palestinian land.

In 1995 Johnson & Johnson was awarded Israel’s highest tribute - The
Jubilee Award in recognition for it’s continues service in strengthening the
    Israeli Occupation.

In 1998 Sara Lee was honored by Prime Minister Netenyahu for having done
the most to strengthen the Israeli economy.

    Caterpillar make seriously good shoes

Also the D9 is an effective combat tool, you can't blame Caterpillar for making a good product:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armored_bulldozer
"The IDF uses the D9 for a wide variety of engineering tasks, such as earthworks, digging moats, mounting sand barriers, building fortifications, rescuing stuck, overturned or damaged armored fighting vehicles (along with M88 Recovery Vehicle), clearing landmines, detonating IEDs and explosives, clearing terrain obstacles and opening routes to armored fighting vehicles and infantry, as well as structures demolition, including under fire.

During the Second Intifada the armoured D9 bulldozer gain notoriety as being an effective tool against Palestinians, as they were almost impervious to Palestinian weapons and withstood even RPGs and Belly charges with more than 100kg and even half a ton of explosive. Therefore they were used to open safe routes to IDF forces and detonate explosive charges. The bulldozer was used extensively to clear shrubbery and structures which was used as cover for Palestinian attacks. In addition they razed houses of families of suicide bombers. Following several incidents where armed Palestinians barricaded themselves inside houses and killed soldiers attempting to breach the entries, the IDF developed "Noal Sir Lachatz" (נוהל סיר לחץ "Pressure Pot Regulation") in which D9s and other engineering vehicles were used to bring them out by razing the houses; most of them surrendered because of fears of being buried alive. During the Battle of Jenin 2002 D9 bulldozers razed houses from which terrorists fired upon Israeli soldiers or contained possible IEDs and booby traps. After the deadly ambush in which 13 soldiers were killed the D9s razed the center of the camp and forced the remaining Palestinian terrorists to surrender, thus finishing the battle with an Israeli victory."

Handy for driving over, reversing, and then driving over a second time an 8 stone American girl who was peacefully and legally protesting as well.

Regardless, you do know it is against WTO and other laws to purchase things like bulldozers and convert them into military vehicles? Well down the list of international laws Israel flouts, but a flouting nonetheless.

Define those wooly terms a bit more? Forgive my naivity, but how does a company directly sponsor/support those actions? If you mean just by being in Israel then thats a tad silly.

Do you boycott Chinese goods too? African goods?

Read the article. The companies are being targetted for a great deal more than just 'being in Israel'.
