    Hi

Can anyone give me an idea of what current cost per Square foot is at moment for Extension. We got Quote of €190 last year and hoping it has come down.

    thanks

Depends on the area and spec. I have seen quotes of €68 per sqft for shell & core in the west of Ireland

    Id agree with Slig.

Prices vary immensely around the country but depending on the spec you could be looking at anything from €60 - €150 per sq. foot.

OP costs around M50 have been at about €200 ft/2 - turnkey - i.e. complete job kitchen finishes etc

Even now they are slow to fall ... but you don't ask you don't get

Some people have told me that going rate at the moment is around 130 to 150 per sq foot. paying anyhing more than that is mad

Maybe, remember that the cost per SqFt is very very rough the difference between a dormer, 1.5 storey and 2 storey is huge. Get an accurate set of construction drawings and spec (if the house has permission) and send them out, it'll be a much more accurate price and should cut out any of the chancers pricing shell & core price for a turn-key finish
