    Great news! Was walking past the new cinema this afternoon and asked one of the lads working inside when was it supposed to open. He said it should be opening on Thursday week, thats November 12th! If its on schedule, I might check out "2012" or "The Fourth Kind". Then "Avatar" in mid-December!

    €9 per ticket, and another 50c to book online.
    So basically €19 for 2 if you want to book online. Bit steep imo.
    I see its €5 per adult if you go at 12 noon. ffs.

    How come there is no student price discount, not trying to sound cheap but i guarantee you that you'd gain a great auduence of students should you introduce a discount. Storm cleans up in waterford.

    Perhaps its because they can't prove that you're a student if you book online? I'd be surprised if they didn't offer student rates at the actual ticket booth.

    They deploy a system in storm that allows you to book student tickets and just collect them. I'm sure the ticket checkers could just ask you for student ID when you are entering.

    €9 is expensive alright but that seems to be the standard in most modern cinemas these days unfortunately..

    An another matter, where is PaddyCanada these days (the GM of the old and new cinema)? He came on a few times asking for suggestions\comments and we all gave a lot of good input (unlimited monthly ticket, classic film showings, etc) but never heard if any of it would be taken up.

    I hope he wasn't just building the hype for the new cinema? Any update on our suggestions PaddyCanada??
