How to get the best out of - UPC & Bittorrent

Hi, Anyone out there on UPC 10mg & using Atlantic Scientific router/Netgear Wireless ..and downloading via Bittorrent . Can you please give me a idiot proof preffered settings to get the best out of dowloading as my Bittorrent has the red exclamation mark on the bottom toolbar telling me that I could improve speeds etc.…
