Does anybody know if an Irish prescription will work down in Australia? Or does it have to be from an Australian doctor? It's for inhalers (Ventolin/Becitide)

I asked my chemist the same question and she said i'd have to get a prescription over there as an irish one wont work. So i am just going to stock up with 2-3 inhalers before i go.

prescriptions are very tightly controlled- not all doctors can legally write prescriptions you need to have a "provider number" its to make sure that immigrant doctors can only work in the public hospital system over there (IMO) Irish priscriptions will not work.
