Updating Nokia Firmware

On a 6300 when u enter ur settings and update software
The problem is it says Select Service Provider and there isnt any to select .

Would it work if one was manually input would it be available to select when i try to download phone Software

are you using the nokia software updater?

It normally doesn't ask you to select a network provider. Once their is an available update it downloads it and then begins to install.

Are you using a old version of the NSU?

Normally it detects the phone, then the product code and knows if their is a new one to install or not.

Id says its the old. Phone software its using. V5.50 at the minute

I meant the version of the nokia software updater, the program itselt and not the phone firmware version.

then connect the phone and see does it still ask for a provider.

I think the latest firmware for the 6300 is version 7
